短暂的欢乐时光/short happiness
This is the greatest trip i ever had!!!
My initial worry about the communication with my friend's family members faded away on the night i reached my friend's house. They are the most friendly and warm-hearted people: the siblings, mother, and even the aunt.Bear in mind that i never known /met them before, and they were so willingly to accept me in the family, something that was far beyond my expectation. Well, i would say that language is really not a major barrier anymore when 2 persons who do not speak the same language really want to communicate ; sometimes a gesture, expression in one's eyes would be enough to understand each other.
So , let the photos below tell about my heavenly 5 days 5 nites in BKK.
Day 1 (20.03.2008) Trip to Ko Samet-Ko Pakarang
Activities :Snorkelling, canoeing, drinking ,swinging, ENJOYING
My favourite ! hahahaha~~~
Not to forget the good food also, typical thai dishes with coconut drink, wooo woooh.Ohyea, the dessert was quite special for me, fried bananas to be eaten with honey or chocolate spread, good one.
Day 2 (21.03.2008)
Sunrise at Ko Samet (ard 6 am Thai time)
My first time to try on prawns porridge(luckily i changed my mind last minute not to order the American Breakfast)It looks luring rite?It taste even better!
Some time ago, a turtle lay its eggs on the beach, and it hatches into 88 babies. They are kept and raised in this 'pool'.
And now they are so big already.
And soon they will be back to the mother nature.
Day 3 (22.03.2008)
Opps, no photos for Day 3.
In the morning , i went to intra square for some business matters. Then we headed to a shopping mall nearby for lunch. We had sushi, one thing i noticed different from sushi restaurant in Malaysia is that they serve pork. And i always thought that sushi restaurant must be halal, seemed like i got the wrong perception. The set meal is quite cheap, it costs only 80-90 baht per set, but california roll is really expensive, it costs 120 baht( 2 times more expensive than in malaysia) and the soft shell crab i tried on was not that nice.
The water horse was our next program in the list, which was also something i would like to experience. And hey, do you know that before the movie started, everybody needs to stand up and pay respect to the king on screen while the national anthem is played.Something interesting to note.
Well, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly at nite after the movie.(about 11pm)We headed to an open air restaurant where they have live band.Again we had sumptuous dinner@ supper, while listening to the nice thai song sang by the performers. While waiting for the bill( that was what i guessed as we already finished the meal and my friend was talking to her sis,bro and another fried in thai), suddenly i heard the performer speaking(in thai so i cant understand) and my friends were pointing at me simultaneously. Then it striked me!I knew what was going on already(by guessing)Soon there came many of the restaurant staffs surrounding our table, and one piece of cake with candle was served infront of me.And of course, birthday song was sang with me still in the shock of surprise and in blush i think(luckily it was dim ) The moment was great and unforgettable.
Day 4 (23.03.2008)
We went to the four-faces Buddha to pay respect, and headed to a shopping mall nearby later on. And Baiyoke Sky Tower was where we took our buffet dinner at.It is said to be the tallest building in Bangkok and you can enjoy the magnificient night view of whole Bangkok on the revolving roof from 84th floor.I think for visitor to BKK, this should be a must in the to-do list.
Day 5 (24.03.2008)
Since this was my last day in BKK, we woke up abit later than usual(hehehe) and i managed to cut my hair before heading to airport. Maybe i really did not wish to go back or so, and i nearly missed the plane.(if i reached the boarding gate 1 minute later,i might have to stay in BKK for another nite) I set a new record for myself as that was the first time where i had the whole plane of passengers waiting for me,quite embarrass though.( and extremely tired from the running to catch the plane)
There you go, my wonderful memories in BKK.
